Abstract
This article presents the importance of linguistic multimodalities in teaching Tax Education as a tool for citizenship, communication, awareness, and the relevance of introducing the subject in the early years of Basic Education, brushing up on resistance at the beginning of the use of comics in the classroom, addressing the popularity of Comics as a multimodal example, its characteristics and how it works in conjunction with teaching fiscal education in an educational context. Next, the teaching of Tax Education in schools is highlighted, ending with examples applied in the states of Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul, discussing ongoing projects on the subject.
